Red Cliffs Campground, Utah

This is our third year staying in this drop dead gorgeous campground just north of St. George. The only (major) drawback is we arrived here during the President’s Day weekend. HUndreds of people day tripping through the campground to enjoy the trails and red cliffs. One night of this mayhem was enoughh for us, so we relocated to an open dispersal camping area just outside of Leed’s. much much quieter and just as lovely.

Now we are off to Oatman for even warmer weather….we hope!

  1. We can’t believe it! This is Linda Hanson – proud owner of Gina. We are spending time in Lake Havasu City with our 30′ trailer – no not Gina. Don’t think we could survive more than a few days in her! I envy you two for being able to do that! Anyway, it was raining this am, so we decided to drive down and check out Yuma. We were between Yuma and Quartzite when we met you guys on the highway! What a coincidence since we had just received your 2 posts yesterday! We really like LHC for the water, great dog park, easy walk to Bridge, etc. Where are you headed? I will bet you will find a nice quiet remote spot! Hope you get this – I sent you an email earlier but I don’t think it went to you.
Have a great trip! We plan to head home towards the end of March. We are loving this weather! Maybe we can meet somewhere instead of meeting each other on the highway!

    • Oh my word!!!!! I so wish we had recognized you! We are now in the Organ Pipe National Monument. We blew through Havasu on our way to Mittry Lake.

If we get back that way I will email you to meet up. I sooo understand about the smallness and the closeness of these little trailers….that is for sure.

      Big hugs!
